* Summary *
_ Responsible for meeting or surpassing goals in newstudent enrollment. Serves as a memberof the senior management team; represents the functional best interests ofRecruitment Services, AP’s and the company. Interacts with Managing Directors, AP’s and Business Unit staff in themeans of recruiting goals. _
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, thefollowing. Other duties andresponsibilities may be assigned. (This is included in all job descriptions).
Provide strategic direction for the RecruitmentServices function of our business and for the Company overall as a member ofthe Senior Management Team.
Drive performance in the Recruitment Servicesfunction of our business to maximize starts and optimize efficiency whileoperating within our culture and service themes.
Full departmental operating responsibilitiesincluding budget, planning, production, Admissions, hiring, staffing, training,performance management, reward as well as recognition and leadership, whileupholding the highest levels of integrity.
Attend SMT meetings, share performance data and anyissues facing the Recruitment Services Team; collaborate with other leaders inresolving cross-functional issues facing the organization.
Provide strategic direction regarding issuesrelating to CRM, reporting and the database, including procedures, statusdefinitions, etc. for Recruitment Services in collaboration with otherfunctional leaders.
Monitor the day-to-day operations and overallproductivity of the Recruitment Services Department whilst taking actionsnecessary to optimize performance.
Develop, approve and ensure consistentimplementation of the local standard operating procedure for Admissions.
Analyze departmental and program team productionprocesses to find opportunities to enhance performance. Develop new processesand modify existing processes in collaboration with other stakeholders toimprove efficiency and overall effectiveness.
Solicit and develop ideas for sales tools to helpincrease performance in new student admissions and retention while leading the organizationin creating and implementing those initiatives.
Direct the development and upkeep of trainingmaterials to keep up to date with current operating procedures, definitions,etc.
Develop, coordinate and deliver ongoing EA/ECtraining based on areas of weakness and opportunity.
*· * Make and implementdecisions on staffing changes to best meet program goals and personnel.
*· * Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule,including weekends and evenings to accommodate students, departmental andcompany’s needs. This may include working more than 40 hours a week.
BA/BS degree from accredited institution required.Masters degree preferred.
“Inside” sales experience (outbound calling)preferred.
Previous sales management and leadership experiencepreferred. Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience managing and leadingvarious inside sales teams performing in a high-relationship consultative salesprocess, with experience as a department head.
Experience with distance education and collegeadmissions preferred.
Strong organization, analytical and motivatingskills.
Demonstrated ability to formulate strategy and leadthe implementation of operational initiatives to meet goals.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Word, Excel, andPowerPoint.
Collaborative and professional communication style,builds relationships with other departments, not barriers.
Ability to lead growth in the department from 32employees to over 120.
